Should Humanity Avenge Divinity? Discuss Using Achebe's "Dead Men's Path" and Onyishi's "Clash of Divnity."

By Joshua Ugwuishiwu Jachimma

Summary

In a jiffy, this paper argues that Divinity far more outweighs Humanity in all possible ramifications of power wielded. Divinity created Humanity. It is not like the proverbial saying that a son should do more exploits than the father. The son in this case should revere the father, cause if you look at it critically, the father (Divinity) is more of a God to the son, its creation, Humanity.

Abstract

Humanity is but a frail character, how dare man meddle in the affairs of Divnity. It is a question worth researching. In the cause of research, I've come to the conclusion that Humanity no matter how strong and advanced could never raise a finger against Divinity which of course is indomitable. Using Achebe's anecdote, "Dead Men's Path" and Onyishi's "Clash of Divinity", the reader would see that there is absolutely no point in "trying" to avenge the almighty Dvinity. There's no harm in trying, but there's harm after you may have tried...I'll leave you to it. this is the essence of this research; to make you(the reader) see with me why Humanity should never dare avenge Divinity.
