Abstract

Jacobean tragedy is the drama performed during the Queen Elizabeth Era.Revenge tragedy is different from other tragedies in the sense that the whole part of the tragedy would be base on revenge. Another aspect of the tragedy is that the persons involve in the tragedy ultimately feel remorse for what they have done and in most cases it leads to their damnation. The duchess of malfi (originally published as the tragedy of the duchess of malfi)is a macabre tragic play written by the English dramatist John Webster. It was first performed privately at the Blacklrians theatre then later to a larger audience at the globe in 1613-14 published in 1623 the play is loosely based on the event that occurred between about 1508 and 1513
