Should Humanity Avenge for Divinity?

Should Humanity Avenge for Divinity?

Humanity should not avenge divinity, the gods made us, but we should be responsible for our actions, fighting a war meant for the gods would rather be a detriment to humanity and the gods would do nothing but watch. It is better if the gods are allowed to fight their battles, in this way. They would be respected by all but, if humanity avenges divinity, the gods would be seen as weakling who depend on humans to fight for them.

Firstly I would like to emphasize on the meaning of the two Keywords “Humanity” and Divinity” respectively. Humanity according to Merriam Webster Dictionary it says that it is the quality or state of being human or humane, while divinity according to the same dictionary says it is the state of being divine or the formal study of religion, religious practices and religious beliefs.

I am of the opinion that humanity should avenge for divinity. I will illustrate this using Achebe’s “Dead Men’s Path”. We see here Mr. Michael Obi who closes the village’s Dead Men’s path in a bid to bring civilization to the village not knowing that he is incurring the wrath of the ancestors on them

Finally with the origin and essence of African religious beliefs, that is African divinity, human existence cannot be harmonious without its spiritual aspect which serves as the law enforcing body, as is shown in Chinua Achebe’s Dead men’s paths.

Should Humanity Avenge for Divinity

Divinity has avenged for him selves, finally humanity and divinity are not equal, for humanity to avenge for divinity is for humanity to engage in unequal battle with divinity.

Should Humanity Avenge for Divinity Using Clash of Divinity by Reuben Onyisi and Dead Men's Path

Clash of divinity is like a two aged sword. Humanity should not avenge for divinity because divinity may seem sluggish in action. Unlike the Umobi people that sees the gods as a weak vessel by fighting for it, which is improper in real sense.
